Triaster

Why Triaster

Founded in 1994. Still solving the same problem: a QMS people actually use.

QMS software has been around for decades. The problem it has never fully solved is the gap between how work is documented and how work is actually done. Triaster was built to close that gap, by making processes the navigation system of the organisation, not just its paperwork.

Thirty years, not thirty months

Longevity is a proof point, not a vanity claim.

That means we have implemented QMS solutions through four changes of ISO standard, two recessions, a pandemic, and the arrival of AI. We have seen what breaks and what lasts.

What lasts is the Process Approach. Every technology cycle since 1994 has asked the same underlying question: how do we make how the organisation actually works visible, governable and improvable. Triaster was built around that question from day one, and the product has kept that centre of gravity through every generation of platform underneath it.

What "by design" means

The only QMS built on the Process Approach by design.

Other QMS tools bolt process diagrams onto a document repository. Triaster is the other way round. The process model is the system of record, and documents attach to the activities they support. That is the difference between adding a process view and being built on one.

Frequently asked

Questions buyers ask about Triaster.

Why choose Triaster over a document management QMS?

A document management QMS treats each policy, procedure and form as a file to be stored, versioned and retrieved. Triaster treats the process itself as the unit of organisation. Documents still live in the system, but they attach to the exact process step they support. The result is a QMS that shows how work actually flows through your organisation, not a filing cabinet with a search box on top.

Is Triaster only for large organisations?

No. Triaster scales from a single team documenting one operational area to global enterprises with thousands of connected processes across dozens of sites. The Process Approach is valuable at every scale because the underlying question is the same: can the people doing the work see how it fits together. The size of the organisation changes the number of processes, not the shape of the answer.

Does Triaster require Microsoft Visio?

No. Triaster has been fully SaaS since 2022 with no Visio dependency. Existing Visio maps can be imported using AI-assisted import.

How long does implementation take?

A typical implementation goes live in eight to twelve weeks. The work is led end to end by a senior consultant and follows a four-phase approach: Discovery, Configure, Launch, Optimise. The timeline scales with the number of processes in scope and the pace of your internal reviews, not with the technology.

What ISO standards does Triaster support?

Triaster QMS supports every management system standard, not just ISO 9001. This includes ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001 and non-ISO standards. If your standard requires documented processes, risk management and audit evidence, Triaster supports it. Triaster itself is certified to ISO 9001 (Certificate No. 22372) and ISO 27001.
