AI and your QMS

AI and Your QMS

AI is only as reliable as the knowledge it draws from. If that knowledge is a folder of ungoverned documents, the answers will be too. Triaster gives your AI a trusted, structured foundation: your organisation, modelled as a connected system of processes.

The problem

AI trained on ungoverned documents produces untrustworthy answers.

Point an AI assistant at a shared drive of policies, procedures and slide decks and you get exactly what you would expect: confident answers derived from outdated, contradictory and unowned material. The AI has no way to tell which version of a document is current, who approved it, or whether the process it describes is still the way work is actually done.

This is not an AI problem. It is a knowledge problem. The knowledge underneath the AI is not trusted, not governed and not structured. Fix that and the AI becomes useful. Skip it and the AI becomes a liability.

The solution

A governed process model is the foundation AI needs.

The Process Approach describes your organisation as a connected system of processes, each with an owner, a version and an approval trail. That is exactly the shape of data an AI system needs to give accurate, defensible answers. Every statement is traceable. Every answer has a source.

Triaster is built on this model by design. The governance is not bolted on afterwards as an audit exercise. It is the shape of the system itself, which is what makes it a reliable foundation for AI in the first place.

How Triaster uses AI

Three specific ways AI shows up in Triaster.

We do not describe Triaster as an AI product. We describe exactly what the AI does and where it fits.

AI-assisted Visio import

Existing Visio process maps are parsed by an AI import routine that identifies activities, roles, inputs and outputs and rebuilds them as governed process objects inside Triaster. You keep the intent of the original diagrams. You lose the fragility of a static file that nobody can safely edit.

Conversational process querying

Triaster QMS prepares the governed process model that can support conversational querying. For a standalone Digital trusted expert interface on that model, use AskTheGaffer. This keeps the QMS page clear: Triaster QMS governs the source; AskTheGaffer provides the conversational Knowledge Retention layer. For standalone conversational access to governed process knowledge, see AskTheGaffer at askthegaffer.ai. AskTheGaffer is a separate Knowledge Retention product, also built on the Process Library engine.

Structured process data for internal AI tools

Your Triaster model is exportable as structured, governed data with owners, versions and approvals attached. That is the shape an internal AI tool or agent needs to give reliable answers about how your organisation works. Not a folder of PDFs, a defensible source of record.

Give your AI a foundation it can defend.

A short call with a senior consultant. We will show you what a governed process model looks like as a source of record for AI in your organisation.
